FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (F.A.Q.)

Our department plays a large but silent role in many of the events that happen on and off campus. We have complied a list of the most frequently asked questions. Hopefully this resource will answer many of the questions you may have.

The Office of Cultural Relations and University Events is a client service department that provides a centralized standard of excellence, quality and protocol to the USC family – including the offices of the president, the senior vice presidents, university relations, the alumni house, USC associates, deans and development officers. We also produce commencement, homecoming and university-wide festivals or celebrations. We do not produce student or faculty events or seminars.

Go here and click the EVENT PERMIT APPLICATION link. Please fill out the application with all pertinent information and click SEND. You will receive an e-mail with a list of who you need to contact for space reservation (indoor or outdoor), rentals, catering, fire safety, parking, etc. It is your responsibility to follow up with each USC department or vendor. As a courtesy, there is also a vendor list on our homepage that you can reference to assist you. The USC Office of Cultural Relations and University Events does not produce student events.

All organizational tailgate parties (50 people or more) are required to register with the USC Office of Cultural Relations and University Events. Registration does not guarantee space; registered tailgate organizers must secure their places on campus in person on game day, no earlier than 5 am.
