USC Shoah Foundation and Aspen Film present: Remember This

"All I can say is that I saw it and it is the truth." - Jan Karski

Monday, July 31st, 2023

6:45 pm MT

In a virtuoso solo performance, Academy Award®-nominee David Strathairn (Nomadland, Good Night, and Good Luck, Lincoln) portrays Jan Karski, in a true story of a reluctant World Word II hero and Holocaust witness. After surviving the Blitzkrieg, Karski swears allegiance to the Polish Underground and risks his life to carry the first eyewitness reports of war-torn Poland to the Western world, and ultimately, the Oval Office. This timely account of moral courage and individual responsibility is more relevant today than ever before.

The film will be followed by a panel discussion to include:

  • Eva Anisko, Producer, Remember This
  • Dr. Adrian Chrobot, Political Counsellor on Jewish Affairs, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, Washington, DC
  • Derek Goldman, Co-Director/Co-Writer, Remember This
  • Dr. Robert Williams, Finci-Viterbi Executive Director, USC Shoah Foundation
  • Susan Wrubel, Executive + Artistic Director, Aspen Film
