The Honorable John Chiang
Former California State Treasurer (2015-2019) and State Controller (2007-2014), he played a key role in protecting the state's credit during the Great Recession and uncovered more than $9.5 billion in government fraud, waste, and abuse. He also served on the California Board of Equalization. Chiang is a member of the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy Board of Councilors and was a 2020 Fellow at the USC Center for the Political Future, where he led a course on California's economic policy responses to major crises.
Bob Shrum
Director of the USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future and the Carmen H. and Louis Warschaw Chair in Practical Politics. A celebrated political consultant and advisor to presidential campaigns, Bob brings decades of experience in public policy and democratic engagement.
