Adam Rosen

Adam Rosen
Assistant Vice President
Office of Cultural Relations and University Events

As the head of Cultural Relations and University Events, Adam is responsible for the direction, production and management of more than 200 USC events a year on campus, across Southern California and around the world. He is charged with bringing a strategic and distinct USC branding to events, programs and productions that connect USC's academic community to the outside world. Also under his purview are USC Visions & Voices, The Arts and Humanities Initiative and Arts and Culture at USC. In addition, Adam works to expand USC’s visibility within Los Angeles' vibrant cultural community and enrich the university’s relationship with Southern California’s vast array of arts organizations.

Adam is an award-winning event and marketing producer whose creative branding solutions have been seen on television, in major print and online publications and by live audiences. Prior to coming to USC, he produced events while working at Warner Bros., Mattel, Enlighten Creative Marketing Group and Grand Central Marketing. He has broad experience in event planning and production, ranging from small, high-end gatherings to large-scale productions. His affinity for events is rooted in a deep love for the arts, which began in high school theater productions and progressed through his film studies at USC. Away from the office, Adam is an avid softball player and organic gardener.

Jennifer Carver

Jennifer Carver
Managing Director,
University Events

As Managing Director of University Events, Jennifer is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the events team, providing strategic guidance and creative direction for all events produced through the Office of Cultural Relations and University Events to ensure all events meet the presidential standard of hospitality. Jennifer is a native of Southern California and earned Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Mass Media Communications from the University of San Diego and her MBA at Pepperdine University.

Senior Event Producer

As manager of the Events team, Caroline is responsible for producing events for The Office of the President, Advancement and the University at large. Prior to USC, Caroline worked at Warner Bros. Studios.

Leigh Anne MartoranaLeigh Anne Martorana
Senior Event Producer, Academic Events and Global Conferencing

Leigh Anne is an alumna of The Pennsylvania State University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Park and Tourism Management. Prior to joining the Office of Cultural Relations and University Events, Leigh Anne worked for Park Hyatt Hotels and for a third party meeting planning company based in Los Angeles.

Sarah Kauffman

Sarah Kaufmann
Associate Event Producer

Sarah received her BA in International Studies from the University of Richmond and her MA in Art History from Hunter College in New York City. Prior to joining the Office of Cultural Relations and University Events, she worked as the Associate Director of Presidential Events at Columbia University and managed events in the Education department at the Guggenheim Museum.

Shelbe Adams

Shelbe Adams-Christoffersen
Associate Event Producer

Shelbe is an alumna of Oklahoma State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Media & Strategic Communications. Prior to joining the Office of Cultural Relations and University Events, Shelbe worked as a Development Manager in the non-profit sector managing an annual gala, directing outreach initiatives, and third party events.

Juliet Brown

Juliet Brown
Senior Event Producer,
Presidential Events

As manager of the Presidential Events team, Juliet is responsible for producing events for The Office of the President. Prior to USC, she worked as the Assistant Director of Special Events for LA Opera and also spent time in New York coordinating events for The Metropolitan Opera.

Adelaide Rowe

Adelaide Rowe
Event Registration Manager

As the event registration manager, Adelaide manages the reservation and check-in processes for general CRUE events. Prior to holding the position of registration manager, Adelaide worked at Cultural Relations and University Events as a student coordinator while earning her bachelor of science in Environmental Studies at the University of Southern California.

Taylor Brandon

Taylor Brandon
Registration Coordinator

As a Reservation Coordinator, Taylor assists with managing both reservation and check-in services at Cultural Relation and University Events. She is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology. Prior to joining CRUE, Taylor worked as the event coordinator for Southeast Missouri State University’s main event venue, the Show Me Center; an arena building dedicated to hosting events for both the community and the university.

Lauren Madrid

Lauren Madrid
Reservation Specialist

Lauren is a graduate of Cal State Northridge, earning her Bachelors of Science in Recreation, Tourism and Hospitality Management. Prior to holding the position of Registration Services Coordinator with Cultural Relations and University Events, Lauren worked at La Canada Flintridge Country Club as Member Relations Manager in producing member events.

Rochelle Sakado

Rochelle Sakado-Taguchi
Senior Business Officer

Rochelle joined the Office of Cultural Relations and University Events in 2004. She is responsible for managing all financial aspects of the department as well as managing our ecommerce service. She is an alumna of the University of Southern California where she received her bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing. Prior to joining the Office of Cultural Relations and University Events, she was in retail management at Macy's West.

Juvi Segura

Juvi Segura
Director of Audio Visual Services

Juvi is a graduate of the LACC Theatre Academy and a former Marine. His professional production experience spans over 15 years of working in theatre, television, film, radio, and musical concerts. Some of his work includes projects with NBC, CBS, FOX, Univision, KCET, Americas Theatre Arts Foundation, Quetzal, KIIS FM, KPFK, KJazz, and KZLA. He first joined USC in 1999 with the School of Cinematic Arts in the IMS department. Juvi is responsible for the production of audio and visual operations in support of the Office Cultural Relations and University Events.

Steve Lin

Steve Lin
Web and Systems Manager

Steve joined the Office of Cultural Relations and University Events in 2010. Prior to joining USC, he was a web developer at Biola University, a co-founder of an after school tutoring center and designed and launched ecommerce websites. He has over 15 years of experience as a web and systems integrator in the banking and education industries. Steve is responsible for the production and management of web, systems and online event reservations for University Events and USC Visions and Voices.

Karina Kletscher

Academic Events

Karina produces events with both Academic Events and Visions and Voices: The Arts and Humanities Initiative. She is a USC alumna with a Bachelor of Arts in Narrative Studies from the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. Prior to joining the Office of Cultural Relations as an events coordinator, Karina was a student volunteer with Visions and Voices.

Christopher joined the Office of Cultural Relations and University events in March 2014. He is an alumnus of the University of Southern California, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Prior to joining the Office of Cultural Relations and University Events, Christopher worked for USC Government and Civic Engagement.

Jan Thompson

Jan Thompson
Event Services Manager

Jan manages the department's front office administrative operations in addition to our student staff of 80+ students. She also manages special event requests for CRUE and special projects for the Assistant Vice President. Prior to joining the Office of Cultural Relations and University Events, Jan worked as a manager for a designer clothing company. Jan is a graduate of USC with a bachelor of science degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been an active alumna and volunteer for USC. She comes from a multigenerational Trojan Family, including her husband, parents, siblings and three children.

Andrew Gibbs

Andrew Gibbs
Web Developer

Andrew graduated from USC with a bachelor's degree in Political Science. He has experience in web programming, computer forensics and cyber security. As a web developer, Andrew provides technical support for CRUE web and computer systems.

Audio/Visual Technician

Max Parada graduated from Biola University with a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema and Media Arts (Production). As the Audio/Visual Technician, Max is responsible for providing audio/visual support for University Events and maintaining CRUE’s equipment.
